DESCRIPTION
A magnificent sunstone carving by international award winner John Dyer. The stone a 14mm, 11.58 carat buff-top sunstone, reverse faceted with a sunburst pattern that appears to float in suspension from the inside of the stone. The color is typical of Oregon sunstone, a rich medium toned brownish orange.
Our designer interpreted the stone using a simple tapered textured yellow gold handmade frame. The stone is held in the setting by highly polished square white gold tabs that wrap around the back of the stone forming a simple gallery that also acts as a bail for a chain.
Comments: An exceptionally beautiful and unique work of art. Price is without for pendant without coil.
The grading categories used here are based on the approach recommended in my book: Secrets Of The Gem Trade,
The Connoisseur's Guide To Precious Gemstones.
